The Way Family Church will celebrate Memorial Day with our 3rd annual fish fry from 2pm to 6pm. This event will be held at Pastor Ken and Cindy's farm located at 1220 Barren Valley Rd. Chuckey TN. That address and a look at mapsquest should bring you to the celebration with ease.

Fish, burgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Bring your favorite covered dishes, lawn chairs and outdoor games. Oh, by the way, don't forget the deserts!

Tents and pecan trees will provide plenty of shade. With a beautiful view of the mountains and several acres mowed there will be plenty of room for children of all ages to enjoy a day of outdoor fun and fellowship and entertainment.

Burning Hearts is a local fellowship where young adults can come together and hang out, worship and receive the Word in an environment geared just for them!  Hungry for more? Well here's good news! The Way offers bible study each Thursday Mornings @ 10:30 AM and the same study again Thursday Evenings @ 6:30 PM! 

Join us for a relaxed, sit down, bible open, note taking look at the incorruptible, indestructible, ever-living seed that is the Word of God!

04-11-2010 Can’t ever recall being so exhilarated and wore out at the same time…..and can’t possibly adequately write about the workings of the Holy Spirit during a 3 hour service in El Potosi Saturday night. Here is the promised update with great encouragement to follow the other’s comments in the forum.  I shared this morning that  we felt the powers of darkness that we have been up against and sent out word to intercede. We experienced how powerful and mighty the unity of God’s army is in pulling down strongholds! Pastor Juan Casus from Saltillo, in ministry 50 years in this area whom Ken had met in 2004, gave Ken a confirmation that he had seen us shaking the heavens!

The  Praise Band (keyboard, drums,  guitars, and accordion) led off with a rousing set with hand clapping, dancing and glorifying God. In their break, Leann and Hollis did a worship dance offering to Terry Macalmon’s “Even So”.  After more worshipful music, Ken preached out of Luke 8: 26-39 . Shortly before the alter called uttered the statement, “You choose to keep living with devils,  you are worse than pigs!” . NO ONE came forward and Ken pressed on calling for his intercessors and the other Pastors there. One came forward for salvation, and then another and the Spirit began moving, the alter filling up, partially clearing and  filling up again. Men, women and children falling out in the spirit, some receiving the fullness of joy with uncontrolled laughter, a deaf woman brought to Ken received her hearing, and  dancing broke out. We can confirm 6 certain salvations. There were likely many more. God moved in and used the team  in ways never before experienced and confirmed His calling on some….I could go on and on. I am still feeling the power of it. There is more…the closing, the food served, the good byes said but it is late (3:30 am) I need to end here. Good night Mighty Warriors- brothers and sisters in the Lord .

4/10/10 Friday...Tonight is our final service in El Potosi....We are going into the Battle against evil spirits and anything that would come against God's will for El Potosi!  We had 102 in attendance last night besides the band, cooks, and workers. See Michelle's notes in the forum as it contains most of what I would say. Six people came forward for salvation ! Hallelujah! Our devotions and Communion today was most powerful and annointed. After Pastor Ken laid hands and gave a discerning prayer for each of us, we gathered around Ken and Cindy annointed them, lifted them to the Lord and prayed a hedge of protection around them.Tonight we go into battle for the Lord. To all our  Intercessors and Prayer Warriors, we ask that you join us in prayer against anything that would hinder the flow of the Holy Spirit...We go in armed and dangerous with the whole armor of God. Join with us going into the battle that we may all share in the  victory that is God's.

Buenos Dias from Saltillo, Mexico! Friday 4/9/10 We are opening this newsletter to give you an overview as so many have asked to be kept updated on our mission trip! For additional comments from our group I encourage you to go to the forum. We are staying comfortably in a 4 bedroom home in the Eternal Love Christian ministries compound with an authenic breakfast provided. Afterward, we have precious time in the Lord together with devotions and communion. Each day we travel almost 2 hours to a rural area where El Potosi is located at the foot of the mountains elevation 6,000 feet. Wednesday, we had lunch in San Rafael in the lovely home of Randy and Mary Harrison ( the missionaries we support) with Pastor Gilberto and Margaurita and their two children who have been called to pastor in El Potosi. Along the highway, we saw shepherds who spend the day leading their sheep to pastures. Though our arrival was expected; there was amazement and curiousity on both sides. They rarely, if ever, see Americans. We were taking in the people and their adobe or block homes some painted most colorfully. The men put up a large tent in the middle of town while Kristy and Bev drove the van with the loud speaker repeating the announcement the coming 3 day event. Cindy, Leann, Michelle, Moriah and Mary (interpreting) followed behind doing a walk thru handing out flyers and lollipops (which really brought the kids out from behind their mothers or door jams) along the the dirt road. Before we left, we had a unexpected meal prepared by a couple local women. Then prayer and ministry with laying on of hands and the Holy Spirit moving in the falling out in the spirit, exceeding joy, exuberant praising and tears!!! We returned to Saltillo with great rejoicing and enough dirt in our hair to make a mud pie! Thursday we left without John , Michelle and Moriah (see her testimony on the forum) and spent time again handing out flyers and suckers although the word was out that we were here. Mary with a weeping passenger flagged us down and led us to the nearby clinic where the woman's son had been taken ill soon after we had passed through. She wanted the Pastor to lay hands on him. As we prayed the fever reduced and he rested better. She reported later that night that he was home sleeping and would be there tonight. She was one of 8 who came forward for salvation at the end of the service. Two others got saved earlier. Hallelujah! We enjoyed uplifting praise music, learning movements to one of their songs, a great message by Pastor Ken with Mary interpreting, and alter ministry at the end. Leann got all 2 1/2 hours on video. Wonderful meal was served afterward. A bus loaded that had brought people from another area and we took Daniel's (youth pastor)family to San Rafael on our way home. Good to get back and see Moriah looking so much better and to share what the Lord has done! Time to return .Thanks for your prayers...we will keep you posted!

The Way Family Church supports Encima Del Monte Ministries in Mexico. Pastors Randy and Mary Harrison are missionaries who have a burning heart to reach the lost on the Mexican mission field. They often erect their tent in areas where there is no church and after only a short time a church has been born in that area! They are in desperate need of a generator for power when they set up their tent. They had 2 but both of them have stopped working. The Way will be receiving a special offering just for the purpose of buying a new generator on the first Sunday in May. Be prayerful and seek the Father on how He would have you help in this situation. This is good soil to plant in. Thank you!

The Bride's Kitchen is a brand new women's ministry started at The Way! The first meeting was such a success that we've prayerfully considered it and instead of meeting quarterly we'll actually be meeting once a month! Meetings will be the 2nd Wednesday of each month!
